Four drug dealers arrested during actions in Breda and surroundings

The aim of the campaign was to gain a better understanding of the drug trade in the region and of the dealers and their buyers, both in uniform and in civilian clothes across team boundaries. Several transactions were observed. Two people from the Public Prosecution Service were present during the action, which meant that the action could be taken quickly.

At around 3:45 p.m., officers saw a car driving at high speed across Pastoor Pottersplein. The officers wanted to set up a check and saw that the car drove into the Merelstraat. The driver left the vehicle there and fled on foot. When asked about his personal details at the control room, it turned out that he has now been caught driving without a license for the ninth time since 2018. The public prosecutor who was present at the action immediately decided to seize the car and confiscate it.

A 33-year-old resident of Breda was arrested on Teteringsedijk around 7.25 pm. 40 globules of heroin, 9 large globules, 22 small globules and eight pony packs, all containing cocaine, were found in his car. A search was conducted at his home address under the supervision of the examining magistrate. However, nothing was found here. He is said to have sold user quantities of heroin and cocaine to a 27-year-old man from Raamsdonksveer on an industrial estate in Breda. The buyer has had a fine of 450 euros.

A 27-year-old resident of Breda was arrested at Boschstraat in Breda around 8:30 p.m. on suspicion of drug trafficking. Earlier that evening he would have sold cocaine for 20 euros from his car on the industrial estate in Terheijden to a 30-year-old resident of that village. 6.5 grams of hashish, 2.3 grams of hemp and approximately two grams of cocaine were found in his car. The buyer was also arrested.

Two Oosterhouters (20 and 23 years old) were arrested around 7.50 pm on the Oosterhoutseweg in Raamsdonksveer. No less than 90 pony packs of cocaine were found in a hidden room in their car. They are suspected of dealing in hard drugs. An 18-year-old Breda resident who allegedly bought drugs from the duo was arrested shortly before on the Hoofdstraat in Raamsdonksveer. He had bought two packs of coke for 50 euros. The 20-year-old suspect had been released with suspensive conditions due to a previous case. He was brought before the Council Chamber today. He remains stuck. The other suspect was brought before the examining magistrate today and also ‘held’.
