On Friday 14 January 2022 there was another press conference.
Mark Rutte and Minister Ernst Kuipers were on television.
They talked about how things are going with the corona virus.
We explain the most important things.
Many people with corona
Many people are still infected with corona.
That is why it is very busy in the hospitals.
Many people are sick. They cannot work.
Still, more can be opened. But not everything.
From Saturday 15 January there will be new rules.
MBO, HBO and universities will open again.
You can go to drama or music lessons again.
Inside and outside.
But without an audience.
From the age of 18, a corona ticket is required inside and outside.
Sports are allowed again, inside and outside.
Sports competitions are also allowed. Only within your own club.
Athletes from the age of 18 must have a corona ticket for indoor sports.
Public is not welcome at sports.
Shops are open until 5 pm.
Necessary shops are open until 8pm.
For example supermarkets and drugstores.
A mouth cap is mandatory in shops.
And keep 1,5 meters away.
There should not be too many people in a store.
Hairdressers, nail studios and sex workers are allowed to work again.
Until 5 pm.
Gas stations, pharmacies, libraries, driving schools, the notary or lawyer are open.
Cafes and restaurants remain closed.
You can order and pick up.
Cinemas, museums, theaters and concert halls will remain closed.
Advice: wear a mouth cap if you can’t keep 1,5 meters away.
For example in shopping streets. But also at work.
Wear a disposable face mask.
Preferably no fabrics or homemade mouth caps.
Have you been in contact with someone who has corona?
And did you also have corona less than 8 weeks ago?
Or did you get your 3rd shot more than a week ago?
Then you don’t have to stay at home anymore.
This is only if you have no complaints.
Are you 70 years or older?
Limit contact with others. Also with children.
Keep 1.5 distance.
- Keep 1.5 meters away from others everywhere.
- Stay at home if you have any complaints. Do a self-test.
Is it positive? Then do a test at the GGD.
- Do not receive more than 4 people aged 13 or older at home.
- Only visit once a day.
- Are you visiting? Then do a self-test first.
- Advice for outside: no more than 4 people together.
This applies to people over 13 years old.

Do not forget
- Wash your hands often.
- Cough and sneeze into your elbow.
- Don’t shake hands with anyone.

These rules apply until January 25.
